The Opportunity
This is a subcontractor position suited to an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist looking to build their own client base, add additional treatment days to their week, or work from a beautiful, calm allied health environment.
Current availability
There are currently 2 half days and 1 full day available:
- Tuesday: 3:00pm 8.00pm
- Friday: 3:00pm 8.00pm
- Saturday: Half or full day
You do not need to commit to all three days from the beginning. We can start with one or two days and build towards three as your client base develops, with the potential for additional hours in the future.

There is a bright and welcoming reception/waiting area, although there is no staffed reception, so practitioners independently manage their own clients, payments and rebooking.
About You
Im looking for an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist who is:
- Qualified and at least 3 years clinically experienced
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Confident working independently
- Passionate about helping people
- Reliable and organised
- Genuinely interested in building relationships with clients
- Committed to high-quality treatment and client care
- Comfortable communicating with clients about their treatment and ongoing needs
- Respectful of the shared clinic environment
Most importantly, Im looking for someone who feels aligned with the way I work and the experience I want clients to have at Life and Mind Massage.
Support & Working Relationship
This is an independent subcontractor role rather than a mentoring position. You will be expected to work confidently and independently within your scope of practice.
I will, however, be available to support you with client discussions, marketing, social media and strategies to help build your client base.
Im interested in creating a positive working relationship where we can work alongside one another professionally, share the space respectfully and support the overall client experience.
A minimum six-month commitment is preferred to allow sufficient time to establish and grow your client base.
Job Requirement
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- Diploma of Remedial Massage or equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 3 years' clinical experience
- Current membership with an Australian massage association
- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid ABN
- Health fund provider status / ability to process private health claims
- Appropriate right to work in Australia
Additional training
Additional qualifications and training in areas such as myotherapy, pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, dry needling, cupping or other relevant modalities would be welcomed.
Subcontractor Responsibilities
As an independent subcontractor, you will be responsible for:
Client care
- Providing 60, 75 and 90-minute massage treatments
- Conducting appropriate client consultations and assessments
- Tailoring treatments to individual client needs
- Maintaining professional boundaries and appropriate draping at all times
- Providing a warm, professional and respectful client experience
- Educating clients where appropriate regarding treatment, self-care and ongoing care
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client notes following each treatment
Administration
- Processing HICAPS and card payments
- Issuing receipts/invoices where required
- Recording payments accurately in Cliniko
- Recommending and facilitating rebooking
- Managing your own client communication where appropriate
Clinic responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional treatment room
- Sanitising the treatment space between clients
- Leaving the room clean and ready for the next practitioner
- Respecting shared clinic spaces and other practitioners
- Opening or closing the clinic when required, depending on who is onsite
- Following clinic health, safety, privacy and hygiene procedures
Continued education
- Maintain continued education (CPE) at your own cost, Life and Mind Massage does not contribute to your ongoing education.
