Radial nerve compression, or radial tunnel syndrome, may occur at any point along the radial nerve pathway and may have varied etiologies. Signs and symptoms can be similar to those felt with lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), therefore it can be difficult to determine which condition is causing the pain and weakness.

Symptoms may include fatigue and a dull ache in the upper forearm when using the arm with the most frequent site of tenderness felt in the area of the supinator. Less common symptoms can be felt at the back of the hand or wrist.
