As bodyworkers, we work a lot with clients who have tension, stiffness and pain in the head, neck, and shoulders. Five Element Acupressure is well suited to working with these conditions. By understanding the pathways and points of the meridians that pass through the head, neck and shoulders, we can determine the particular channels of Qi that are blocked and causing problems, and treat them with acupressure.

This workshop introduces you to the Five Element Acupressure method by teaching a series of acupressure patterns that release the blocked energy from the head, neck and shoulders. You will begin with the basic five step release pattern, then add more points as you learn the principles of point combinations for greater effect. Included are distal points of the arms and legs that are particularly effective in clearing congested Qi from the upper body.

In this workshop you will learn how to integrate acu-point work into whatever massage techniques you already use, greatly enhancing your ability to heal at the deepest levels.

You will learn the relevant theoretical concepts and have adequate time for applied practice.
