Job Description

Oxfam Trailwalker is a community event that brings people together from all walks of life. Our dedicated volunteers create an incredible experience for our teams, helping them walk 100km in 48 hours to raise much needed funds to tackle poverty. We are welcoming Allied Health volunteers to register now to support our Trailwalker teams across the weekend.

Without volunteers this event would not take place. That’s why we need your help!

When is Oxfam Trailwalker Melbourne?

Our Melbourne event is March 25th - 27th, the 100km trail kicks off in Endeavour Hills, winds its way through the densely forested Dandenong Ranges and along the picturesque Mullum Mullum and Yarra Trails and finishes in Heidelberg

What does it involve?

We need Allied Health volunteers who can use their skills to attend to our teams across the trail. We have volunteer positions available for both Students (2nd Year of Study) and Supervisors where you will use your skills to assess and treat Oxfam Trailwalker participants and encourage them while handling acute injuries.

Our Allied Health Volunteers include:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Myotherapy
  • Podiatry
  • Osteopathy

What we’re doing to keep you COVID safe!

As restrictions ease and we step out of our neighbourhoods and back onto the trail, you’ll find we’ve introduced social distancing and more hygiene practices to the event. We’ll continue to abide by state recommendations to deliver COVID-safe events, and all participants, event staff and volunteers will be asked to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entry. To learn more about our COVID-safe protocols and COVID-19 refund policy, visit our FAQs.

Join us to tackle poverty together.

We hope to see you on the trail!
