The Queensland Government has announced a three-day circuit-breaker lockdown for South-East Queensland that began at 4pm AEST today Saturday 31 July and is currently set to end on Tuesday 3 August at 4pm AEST. The impacted areas of South East Queensland include:

  • City of Brisbane
  • Moreton Bay Regional Council
  • City of Gold Coast
  • City of Ipswich
  • Lockyer Valley Regional Council
  • Logan City
  • Noosa Shire Council
  • Redland City
  • Scenic Rim Regional Council

More information can be found here. At this stage, the working status of massage therapists, remedial massage therapists and myotherapists who live or work in these local government areas has not been confirmed by Queensland Health and the Queensland Health website is still in the process of being updated.

The Association recommends deferring treatments until confirmation of the working status of therapists has been received. The Association will notify members via email as soon as it receives confirmation.

We understand how difficult this is for our members in South-East Queensland. We have provided a list of support services that can be found below. Massage & Myotherapy Australia will continue to monitor the situation and notify members of any changes to directions.
