South Australia moving to Level 5 Stay at Home Restrictions

Earlier today the South Australian Government announced that at 6pm ACST today 20 July, the entire state of South Australia will be moving to Level 5 Stay at Home restrictions until at least Tuesday 27 July at 6pm ACST. Under Level 5 Stay at Home restrictions, there are only five reasons to leave your house:

  • Care and compassion reasons, such as caring for a loved one
  • Essential work
  • Purchase of essential goods, such as a food
  • Medical reasons, including vaccination and testing
  • Exercise, but it must be limited to people from the same household

The list of essential work during Level 5 Stay at Home directions is very restrictive. Therapeutic massage therapy, remedial massage therapy and myotherapy are not listed as authorised workers that are permitted to treat during Level 5 Stay at Home restrictions. You can view the full list of authorised workers here.

A list of support services can be found below and the Association will notify members of assistance packages as they become available. Massage & Myotherapy Australia will continue to monitor the situation and notify members of any additional changes to directions.
