A massage education boost for your clients

Did you know that around 95% of surveyed GPs who had prescribed any complementary and alternative medicine previously indicated that they would do so again?

With 12.5% of GPs surveyed referring patients to massage therapists weekly, they are an important source of new clients.

Importantly, people living with chronic pain want empathic, non-judgemental and well-informed health professionals who want to listen and partner with them.

This is where you come in. If GPs have received positive feedback from their patients about a referral to a massage therapist, they are more likely to refer others.

You can boost your clients understanding of how you can help them by getting involved in the Massage & Myotherapy Australia’s GP brochure program for members.

Each brochure explains how massage might help with managing a variety of conditions. They encourage referrals and help people learn about massage therapy when in GP clinics.

The brochures also include a space to enter your details so you can also have them displayed in local libraries, community centres, and aged care facilities and so on.

Don’t forget to order your brochures online now at

Remember do not contact your local GPs as they should have received or will receive the massage brochures shortly.
