IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GMF HEALTH
GMF (HealthGuard) has been a subsidiary health fund of HBF Health Ltd since 2002. As at 1 July 2015, GMF and HBF merged to become a single entity. Since this date HBF has been in the process of integrating the two funds to deliver efficiencies in administration and ensure GMF remains in the care of a fund committed to the health and wellbeing of its members.
From 13th February 2017 GMF policies will be administered in the HBF system, with GMF members to be recognised as HBF members, but remaining on their existing GMF product.
For your Massage and Myotherapy Australia Approved Providers that utilise HICAPS or Healthpoint please note that these cards will not be active for use until 13th February 2017. Until then, members are to use their existing GMF member card from now until this time.
For those that may not use electronic claiming, HBF encourage GMF patients to submit any outstanding claims as soon as possible. However, from the 13th February, they will be able to utilise the HBF online claiming service, more information regarding this can be found here.
