Metropolitan Melbourne Update on Health Services During the Second Step

A letter delivered to the Association by Victorian Chief Allied Officer Donna Markham has indicated that remedial massage and myotherapy will not be opening more widely when metropolitan Melbourne enters the Second Step of its Roadmap to Recovery, which is due to occur on 28 September 2020.

HCF System Upgrade

Private Health Fund HCF have informed us that they will be performing a major system upgrade at the start of October that will affect claiming between 1 October and 6 October.

Victoria Update on Personal Services and Support Grants

The Association is still seeking clarity on when massage and myotherapy will be able to resume in metropolitan Melbourne. Additionally, the State Government announced a new round of Business Support Fund Grants to assist Victorian businesses that are struggling or have been forced to close due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Victoria Update on DHHS Guidance

The Department of Health have indicated that they will provide further clarity on the working status of massage therapists next week, however we cannot specify or speculate whether massage and myotherapy will be included in that update.
