Treatment Strategies for Chronic Lower Back Pain

Service ID: Webcast6

Member Price: $55.00
Non Member Price: $90.00

This webcast shows an approach to a treatment protocol of the low back, and to help develop confidence in the client, by employing mindfulness and movement with massage or myotherapy. If a client 'believes' then their chances of improving are much greater.

Aran re-visits the research aspects of the Assessment strategies webcast but applies them to treatment. He also reiterates the importance of understanding the biopsychosocial elements of a client if a treatment plan is to have any success at all.Aran clearly verbalises and practically demonstrates the techniques and movements to apply, both passively and actively, while all the time reinforcing care and safety of the client. The days are long gone where rest and immobility were prescribed for this condition. The best results for a client presenting with LBP are, arguably, achieved if they put in some of the work themselves. A client's involvement in their own treatment is highlighted by Aran's discussion and demonstrations building flexibility and strength in a pain-free and empowering way.

This course is delivered with clear examples and explanations, supported by research and with a client-centred approach to treating chronic low back pain.
