Brisbane Lockdown

Further to yesterdays announcement regarding the three-day lockdown effecting Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton and Brisbane council areas. Queensland Health have updated the Restrictions for Impacted Areas Direction. Remedial Massage Therapy and Myotherapy can only continue to practice during the lockdown for the management or prevention of a disease, injury or condition, provided by a qualified massage therapist who holds approved provider status with one or more private health funds.

Physical distancing must be observed to the extent possible and Contact information must be collected.

Restrictions are currently due to lift on 1 April at 5pm, unless extended or replaced. The lockdown is in direct response to a confirmed case of the UK strain of COVID-19 that is believed to be 70% more infectious than the regular strain. The Association strongly encourages any non-urgent appointments that can wait until after the lockdown period be postponed.'
