Course Description
McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release® (MSTR®) is an innovative, gentle and highly effective therapeutic technique that releases, softens and improves scar tissue. Delivered by Scar Tissue Release Australia - the only licensed Australian instructors for MSTR® — this training equips health professionals to treat a wide range of surgical and non-surgical scars safely and effectively.
MSTR® is suitable for:
- Remedial massage therapists and myotherapists
- Allied health professionals
- Movement teachers (Yoga, Pilates)
- Nurses and medical practitioners
- Any practitioner with qualifications in a medical speciality, bodywork, or therapeutic touch
- Rehabilitation professionals
Course Formats Available
Please list the following three pathways to MSTR® accreditation:
A. MSTR® Level 1 — One Day Face-to-Face Training
A full-day (9am–5pm) hands-on training workshop run across multiple Australian cities each year. Upon successful completion of a short multiple-choice questionnaire and submission of 5 case studies (within 6 months), participants become Accredited Practitioners.
B. MSTR® Level 1 — Instant Access Online Course
A self-paced online course providing all theory and practical video content for remote learners. Participants must complete a 1-hour mentor session with an instructor and submit 5 case studies to achieve accreditation. Course access is provided for 6 months.
C. MSTR® Level 1 — Live Online Classes (Small Group)
Live online classes limited to 6 participants, conducted via Zoom, MS Teams or Google Meet. Covers the same content as the face-to-face class over a 4-hour session. Requires completion of the online questionnaire and 5 case studies for accreditation.
